Here is a card I made for the CDAC Progressive Challenge.  I think it's the most sparkly card I have ever made or will ever make! lol  It's right up my alley though with the elf and fairy theme to it.  The graphic was lovingly supplied by GuruKitty Designs and I LOVE IT!

Girl on Swing Greeting Card

I made this card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge last week.  I ended up so sick with the flu that I couldn't even get to the computer to upload it on time.  I still had fun making it though.  The branch image is from Make it Crafty and the Girl on the Swing is from The Paper Shelter.  Both links are on my site as well.

I Miss You Retro Greeting Card

I made this card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  I was in a retro mood this time so I went with it. I've had the graphic for some time now and I can't remember where it came from.  It might have been the Graphics Fairy.

Back to School Encouragement Card

I don't very often work with bright primary colors but this little graphic from Linda Tieu aka Torta Gialla at Back to Paper Shop definitely called for it!  What a cutie pie image!  I got it free by playing along with the CDAC progressive freebie challenge.  It's loads of fun and is a great lesson in expanding yourself into things you may never had tried.  Try it!!!

First Day of School Greeting Card

I love this digital stamp.  It reminds me of my oldest son, Brandon's very first day of school.  He ran down the driveway ahead of us to catch the bus.  And there I was, trying to keep up with my 3 year old boy Alexander in tow and baby Benjamin in my arms.  It was the first day of school for us all.  I laughed at the joy he was experiencing that very moment and had tears at the same time.  My first baby was all of a sudden whisked away by the big yellow bus he had been anticipating for weeks stopping outside our house to carry him off to a new world.

Thanks to Helen/Elle at Elephantastic for the digital stamp to play with in the CDAC Progressive Challenge and for bringing back such a fond memory.

Flower Fairy Ball Gown Greeting Card

This card is another result of the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  I took a big silk gerbera flower and pulled it apart.  I cut one of the layers in half and wrapped it around a die cut of a dress form to form the skirt of the dress.  The rest is pretty straight forward.  I'm always picking up sale items from fabric places for the flowers which most of the time can be cheaper than some of the paper flowers on the market.  I have a total of $1 into the flowers on this card.

Heres the card.  Thanks MMSC for inspiring me.  I needed some heat under my seat!

Free Die Cut Giveaway To My First 10 Followers!!!

My blog is almost a week old now.  My how I have learned many things about blogging, and linking and joining blogs and adding buttons, etc.  I would love to have some followers now.  I was so excited to get my first page view!  lol  It may be it bit dull at first for my followers but it will get better, I promise!

I'm going to do a little give-away to my first 10 followers.  Yay!!!  I will mail 5 sets of die cuts of the bird and cage that you see used in the card below to the first 10 followers that contact me with their mailing address.  The cage will be black and the bird will be either red, pink or yellow or mixed.  I'm out of corrugated black so it will be black card stock.  Bird color is your choice.  Just add the colors you want with your address.

Here is the card.  This die cut is so fun to work with!  Don't miss out!

Medieval Princess Greeting Card

I have a new Card!  I loved working on this one but found it to be an interesting challenge.  It took several times going back to it and pondering what to do.  I had to follow a layout or sketch provided by priscillastyles for a weekly challenge.  Its the first time I worked within certain boundaries for a layout and I must say it put me to the test!!!

I got the graphic about a year ago by now from the Graphics Fairy.  I used it on a wedding shower card last year for my niece.  It actually resembles her.

Here it is.  For some reason it is showing up a bit squished from top to bottom and my crystals and sparkly thread aren't sparkling. :(  Oh Well!  :)  I must upgrade from my iPhone camera to a better one if I'm going to post better pictures.

A Cup of Friendship Greeting Card CDAC

Here is card # 4 that I submitted to the CDAC progressive challenge.  I had so much fun working with these two graphics by Sandi Samples.  The possibilities are endless.  I used Copic Markers to color the digital stamps.  I used Prima paper flowers and layered them.  I used a piece of bamboo for the wood look table that the cup is sitting on and a piece of lace for the doily.  The tea coming out of the pot is embroidery thread.  It is now in my Etsy shop for sale.

Bird Cage Fan Greeting Card - Fan Hilarity with Friendship

This is another card I made for the CDAC progressive challenge.  I love the saying by Charles Dickens
so I was inspired right away when I got the lovely image from priscillastyles.
I used a big red Prima flower and  a Tim Holtz bigz die for the bird and cage.  I used Copic Markers
to colour the fan.  I now have it in my Etsy shop.

Hot Water & Bubbles Wash Away Troubles

This is another card I made for the CDAC Progressive Challenge.  The graphic is absolutely adorable.  I just had fun with this one.  I made another just like it and sent it to a stressed out friend with a single packet of bubble bath tucked inside.  The bubbles on the card are crystals that are sticky on one side.    You could also use the pearls too.

Creativi-Tea

This is a card that I made with a free image from the Crafters Digital Arts Center progressive challenge.  I used the teacup image provided by Sandi Samples.  I glittered a butterfly that I cut with my Silhouette SD machine. I used Martha Stewart brand glitter.  I like how fine it is. I used 4" wide organza type ribbon with a Prima rose on the centre.  I embossed some details on the teacup using Inkessentials Glossy Accents.
